Once upon a time in the picturesque landscapes of Portugal, a group of compassionate individuals came together with a shared vision – to create positive change in their community. In the year 2019, they founded the non-profit organization known as "Associação Solidária e Agrícola Cantinho dos Animais (ASACA)."

Our History

ASACA's journey began with a commitment to solidarity and agriculture, recognizing the vital role these elements played in the well-being of their fellow citizens, especially in rural areas. Fueled by a passion for making a difference, ASACA quickly became a beacon of hope.

In its early days, ASACA focused on providing immediate relief to families facing hardships, distributing food, and offering crucial healthcare support. As the organization grew, so did its aspirations. Realizing the importance of sustainable development, ASACA expanded its initiatives to include agricultural projects, aiming to empower local communities and stimulate economic growth.

Over the years, ASACA's impact has been profound. The organization has not only alleviated immediate struggles but has also played a pivotal role in transforming lives. Stories abound of families that, with ASACA's support, overcame adversity and built brighter futures.

ASACA's commitment to education and training has cultivated a new generation of skilled individuals in rural areas. By providing agricultural know-how, the organization has opened doors to employment opportunities, fostering a sense of pride and self-sufficiency among community members.

Founded.

In the heart of the Portuguese countryside, an humanitarian idea emerged carrying the desire for life change. In the year 2019, Tome Manuel and Vera Lucia founded the organization "Associação Solidária e Agrícola Cantinho dos Animais (ASACA)."

The idea blended solidarity and agriculture, as they believed that these two aspects could be the focal point for improving conditions in rural areas. They embarked on their journey by committing to providing food for those in need, firmly believing that food is a fundamental right paving the way for development.

With their joint efforts, they organized campaigns to distribute food in remote villages, where the piles of reassurance and hope they provided became a starting point for broader projects. They also decided to invest in sustainable agriculture to empower local communities and enhance self-sufficiency.

With dedication and a compelling vision, ASACA has grown to become a key player in achieving positive change. Their founding story tells a tale of determination and a desire to make the world a better place, one step and one meal at a time.
